The story takes you to the golden age of piracy, where you assume the role of Edward Kenway and explore a vast open-world Caribbean, combining naval combat, stealth missions, and action-packed adventures. The Resynced version has been rebuilt from the ground up on the new Anvil engine, bringing more realistic seas, dynamic weather, and more detailed environments.

In addition to upgraded graphics, the game introduces new stories, additional characters, and an improved combat system, as well as modernised stealth that allows for greater freedom of play. The focus is on a single-player experience without a multiplayer mode, delivering a pure and high-quality narrative journey.

The expected release date is 9 July 2026, and the game is available exclusively for next-generation consoles, including PS5.
